These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding legal agreement between you ("you," "User") and ANVO ("ANVO," "we," "us," "our"), the operator of ANVO LegalAI (the "Service"), available at getanvo.com and any associated applications. By checking the consent box, creating an account, signing in, or otherwise accessing or using the Service, you affirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy below. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if higher, and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract to create an Account. By creating an Account, you represent and warrant that all registration information you provide is accurate, current, and complete, and that you will maintain the accuracy of that information.
You are solely responsible for safeguarding your Account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your Account, whether or not authorized by you. You must notify us promptly at the contact details below if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your Account.
Electronic acceptance. By ticking the consent checkbox presented at signup and completing account creation (including via Google Sign-In), you are entering into this agreement by electronic means. You agree that your electronic acceptance carries the same legal weight and enforceability as a physical signature, consistent with recognition of electronic records and authentication under Bangladesh's Information and Communication Technology Act, 2006 (as amended) and applicable provisions of the Evidence Act governing electronic evidence. If you are accessing the Service from a jurisdiction where clickwrap agreements are treated differently, you remain responsible for confirming their enforceability in that jurisdiction before relying on the Service.
This section is the core of your agreement with us regarding the nature of the Service, and you should read it carefully.
You specifically acknowledge and accept the following risks inherent to AI-generated legal information:
You agree not to:
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and to suspend or terminate Accounts involved in prohibited use, with or without notice, in accordance with Section 9.
We currently offer a limited number of free queries per day to registered and unregistered users. We may, at our sole discretion and at any time, change or remove free usage limits, introduce paid subscription tiers or one-time fees for some or all features, or discontinue features, with reasonable notice where practicable. If and when we introduce paid features, additional terms governing billing, refunds, and cancellation (consistent with the Consumer Rights Protection Act, 2009 where applicable to consumers in Bangladesh) will be presented to you and will supplement these Terms before any charge is made; nothing in these Terms authorizes us to charge you without your separate, explicit consent to those additional terms.
The Service — including its software, curated datasets, retrieval architecture, prompt design, visual design, and the "ANVO" name and marks — is owned by ANVO or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws, including the Copyright Act, 2000 (Bangladesh) as amended. Except for the limited right to use the Service as intended, these Terms do not grant you any ownership interest in the Service.
You retain ownership of Your Content. By submitting Your Content, you grant ANVO a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process, store, and use Your Content solely to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service (including, where you have not opted out via any setting we may offer, to help improve response quality). This license ends when you delete the relevant Content or your Account, except to the extent retained copies are required for legal, security, or backup purposes for a reasonable period thereafter.
The Service relies on third-party infrastructure, including authentication and database hosting, AI model providers, and hosting/deployment platforms, and Google Sign-In for optional OAuth authentication. Your use of Google Sign-In is also subject to Google's own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party service, and your interactions with such third parties are solely between you and them.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without cause or prior notice, including where we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or abusive conduct, or where required by law. You may stop using the Service, and request deletion of your Account and associated data, at any time by contacting us as set out below. Sections 3, 4, 7, 10, 11, 12, and 14 survive termination of your Account or these Terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components. No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained by you from ANVO or through the Service creates any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ANVO and its owners, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your access to or use of the Service; (b) Your Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party, including any claim that you presented AI-generated Output as licensed legal advice or otherwise engaged in unauthorized practice of law in violation of Section 3.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where practicable, provide notice (such as an in-app notice or re-prompting consent) before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms; if you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and may request deletion of your Account.
These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Service, are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the Consumer Rights Protection Act, 2009 that cannot be waived, you and ANVO agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh for the resolution of any dispute that is not otherwise resolved informally.
Questions, notices, or requests regarding these Terms — including Account deletion requests — should be sent to the contact details published on our website.
Privacy PolicyThis Privacy Policy explains what personal data ANVO collects through the Service, why we collect it, how it is used and protected, and the rights available to you. It should be read together with our Terms of Service above.
ANVO operates ANVO LegalAI at getanvo.com. This Policy applies to personal data we collect through the Service, regardless of where you access it from. Because the Service is publicly accessible online, this Policy is written to reflect good-practice data protection principles broadly consistent with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) framework — lawful basis for processing, data minimization, and defined data-subject rights — in addition to applicable Bangladeshi law, as a precaution for any visitors accessing the Service from outside Bangladesh. This does not by itself mean ANVO is subject to GDPR as a matter of law; it reflects a voluntary baseline standard of care.
When you create an Account, we collect your full name and email address, either provided directly by you or shared by Google when you use Google Sign-In (which may also include your Google profile photo). We do not receive or store your Google password.
We store the questions and messages you submit to the Service and the Output generated in response, so that signed-in users can view and continue their conversation history. We also record basic usage metrics — such as the number of queries made in a given day — to enforce free-tier limits and detect abuse.
We record the fact and timestamp of your acceptance of these Terms and this Privacy Policy (e.g., via the signup consent checkbox), so that we can demonstrate compliance with applicable consent requirements if needed.
We and our infrastructure providers may automatically collect limited technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device information, and access timestamps, primarily for security, fraud prevention, and service-reliability purposes.
We do not ask you to submit, and you should avoid submitting, sensitive personal data unrelated to your legal query (such as national ID numbers, financial account details, or health information) as part of your questions to the Service, beyond what is necessary to receive a useful response.
We process your personal data on the following bases: (a) to perform our contract with you (operating your Account and the Service you requested); (b) based on your explicit consent, given at signup, for processing of your Account and Content data as described here; (c) for our legitimate interests in securing, maintaining, and improving the Service and preventing abuse, balanced against your rights; and (d) to comply with our legal obligations. We use your information to: provide and maintain the Service; save and display your conversation history if signed in; enforce usage limits; communicate essential service or security notices to you; and comply with applicable law.
We do not use your Content or Account data for unrelated advertising purposes, and we do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We rely on third-party infrastructure providers to operate the Service, including for authentication and database hosting, AI model inference, and application hosting/deployment. These providers act as data processors on our behalf under their own security and confidentiality commitments. Some of these providers may store or process data on servers located outside Bangladesh. By using the Service, you acknowledge and consent to this cross-border processing, which is necessary to provide the Service as offered. We take reasonable steps to select providers with appropriate security and contractual safeguards; however, no international transfer mechanism eliminates all risk, and you should consider this before submitting highly sensitive information.
We retain your Account information and conversation history for as long as your Account remains active, or as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you delete your Account or request deletion under Section 6 below, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention of limited records (such as consent logs or transaction records) is required by law or for legitimate audit purposes.
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to: (a) access the personal data we hold about you; (b) request correction of inaccurate data; (c) request deletion of your Account and associated personal data ("right to be forgotten"); (d) request a copy of your data in a portable format; (e) withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal, understanding that withdrawing consent to core processing may mean we can no longer provide the Service to you; and (f) object to certain processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 10. If you signed up via Google, you can additionally review and revoke ANVO's access from your Google Account's third-party permissions settings at any time.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, consistent with good industry practice and applicable requirements under the Cyber Security Act, 2023 and ICT Act, 2006 regarding protection of computer systems and data. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.
The Service is intended for users who are at least 18 years old and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, additional notice or re-consent. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
For any question, request, or complaint regarding this Privacy Policy or our handling of your personal data, contact us through the details published on our website. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection or consumer protection authority in your jurisdiction, where one exists.
